Start Strong in a Role That Grows With You
Kingsley College is looking for a Junior Accountant to be based in Rockhampton, QLD. Reporting to the Business Manager and Office Manager, this dual role blends accounting responsibilities with general administration, ideal for someone eager to build foundational experience across multiple business functions in an educational setting.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing Xero-based accounting functions, including payroll, budgets, reconciliations and coding
- Liaising with parents, staff and vendors on financial matters, including school fees, purchasing and payments
- Providing administrative support, including record keeping, front office coverage, and internal communications
- Coordinating bus operations, including compliance, route management and liaising with drivers and families
- Preparing reports, submissions and returns required for board or government compliance
- Engaging with a close-knit team to assist across projects, planning, and professional development

Is This You?
To qualify, you will need at least a Diploma or higher qualification in Accounting or Business (or be actively working towards one), along with strong communication skills and a strong sense of initiative.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Experience using Xero and Microsoft Excel
- Prior experience in admin or finance roles
- Customer service or public-facing experience
- Cross-cultural competency and the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds - including parents, admin staff, board members and service providers
- Confidence working in a team and across departments
